Soooo this series still doesn’t make any sense story wise….

Red Game without a Great Name – Nintendo Switch – Released: 12/7/17 – $2.99

Short Review (Review copy provided by iFun4All)

This is a game that is very simple and I can’t complain too much since it is only $3 and a good buy if you just want something to waste time. It does pose somewhat of a challenge for children that may like mobile titles. The game has 60 stages and offers the objective to just finish the stage but you can collect three gears in each stage to get the highest score much like stars in Cut the Rope. At the end of the day it isn’t very good and it is a bit disappointing after just finished Serial Cleaner, an incredible game by the same developers.

Icon really should have the name but it does draw you in right away:

Story

The story is just a mechanical bird is given special abilities and your job is to reach the cage and deliver gears.

Gameplay

The game is pretty simple if I could show the gameplay it would be great but it is handheld only but your job is to move the bird by teleportation and gather gears for each level. The concept is simple with no real challenge if you have quick fingers as I didn’t die in the 60 levels and collected all the cogs.

Personal Experience

I easily blasted through this game and had my nephew give it a shot. He liked it but quickly got bored of it after the levels all look a like so I’m sure he just got tired of the bright red and black backgrounds. It is a sad game that I wish they put more time into, if they combined Green and Red to make a game that used both the time and teleport it may have produced a solid game but currently as it stands it is bland and average at best.

Final Thoughts

I would say pass since Green and Red should be included together under one price. I really wish they did this since they aren’t terrible game and I did play through them from beginning to end but Green Game is a much better game due to the time aspect while Red Game is too easy. Unless you are really enjoying the gameplay aspect of the game I would pass since the game is just alright and would be better spent playing a game like Serial Cleaner.

UPDATE: 5/31/18

I would give this game a 3 out of 10!

My Gameplay Footage:

Sadly this game is handheld only!

End Credits

Pretty solid week of games minus this one but reviews have to come out and be worked on. It has been a pretty slow week in terms of review copies so things may slow down a bit just to keep things moving along. I have a few games still being edited for the rest of the month along with several ready to publish. Giveaway is coming to a close in the next few days so remember to check that out:
